Welcome

Hello my name is Adam Pechner.
This is mostly just a first, test, blog post as I am new to the blogging world, but prefer a more open platform to display projects, gripes about things that just absolutely irritate me, and basically chronicle life as a hopefully newly hired engineer. While I have no aspirations of being the most followed blog, hopefully the second purpose of its existence will entice some readers as learning, but more on that later.

Currently I am a graduate of UC Davis with a double major in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering as both a Masters and BS degree focusing mostly on helicopter stability and controls. It never ceases to amaze me that through something as simple as a computer, the most unbelievably unstable machines can become dynamically perfect. Soon I hope to say that I am officially employed and relocated to a permanent career, which is currently the only thing stressing me out right now, but fear not posts will continue as life goes on.

Now I mentioned I have a second avenue for this blog, which you may have noticed from the title revolves around Starcraft 2. I started playing Blizzard games since the Lost Vikings back on the NES, and have played about 90% of their games through the ages, but in my opinion no game has defined the RTS genre more than the original Starcraft. While I was pretty bad in multiplayer, due to the lack of internet, single player was awesome. Now 12 years later, the second game has come with each release coming about a year later. However, I believe that the Starcraft community is missing something; specifically they are missing a commentator who is at the level of 90% of all other players (bronze-gold). So my side channel which will be labeled BLC or (Bronze League Confirmed) will try and give weekly posts on bronze-gold league play with the hopes of trying to make those players into better gamers. Because seriously who doesn't get a high thoroughly destroying your opponents or the gut-wrenching feeling of circling the black hole of failure?

Why you ask? Why do such a thing when there are commentators like Sean Day9 Plotts, HD, Husky, and a few dozen other commentators who are much better than I and who comment Diamond league? Well even Day9 who has started his own Newbie Tuesday section found here Day9 still talks and thinks like a Diamond league player. So I want to try and give prospective to those lower players using things that THEY actually do in ways that they actually think. How it will all work, I will be working on until it's smooth, but until then, "keep making pylons and keep making probes."
